The SEOPW CRA installed a new monument sign at an entrance gateway to the Overtown area along the NW 3rd Avenue business corridor adjacent to the entrance to Interstate 95. The stone and granite monument sign, which reads “Welcome to Historic Overtown,” is externally lighted and is complemented by landscaping around and behind the installation. The monument also includes a full-color programmable LED panel, providing information to visitors and residents. This project is funded by a previously approved resolution authorizing $120,000 towards the design, permitting, and installation of the monument sign and funding for maintenance as needed.
