Miami Commission Chairman Keon Hardemon, Miami Dade Vice Chairwoman Audrey Edmonson and The Southeast Overtown / Park West Community Redevelopment Agency (“CRA”) will kick off the holiday season with the 10th Annual Historic Overtown Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Community leaders, local residents, and business owners are invited to join the celebration on Friday, November 30th, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. on NW 3rd Avenue and 10th Street, Miami, FL 33136. The lighting of the tree will take place at 6:30 p.m.

This festive event is free and will feature a toy give away that will bring joy and holiday cheer to hundreds of children in Overtown. There will also be holiday music, a special visit from Santa Claus, snow and performances by the local Girl Power Choir. Complimentary refreshments and other festive treats will be available for the community to enjoy.

Toy sponsors include: the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) Local #1416, International Shore Operations, Miami Worldcenter, the Housing Trust Group, Gatehouse Management, Atlantic Pacific, the Estate Companies, Jitter Flix Inc., H.A.
